The SB-CMS-LA air quality sensor is capable of detecting a range of compounds, and can be installed in any situation or location. For optimum placement it is recommended that the unit is installed in the center of a ceiling, to ensure peak airborne impurity detection.
As a volatile organic compound sensor, the SB-CMS-LA can categorize how severely an area is polluted on a scale of 1-4. On this scale 1 represents clean air, and 4 represents severely polluted air. The module can then transmit the data it has gathered to the HDL Buspro system to allow efficient monitoring and management.
With 24 logic blocks capable of operating in AND & OR states, various applications can be created. As an example an application could be to transmit the air quality information to a touch screen, or broadcast the information to the background music module, or even trigger a fan or air purification system to clean the air when it becomes polluted.
Multiple compounds can be detected such as cigarette smoke, hydrogen, carbon monoxide, ethanol, methane, isobutene, alcohol, etc. This gives the user a comprehensive analysis of the air-quality, and allows them to take the appropriate action.
The SB-CMS-LA can be seamlessly integrated with HDL security solutions. This is made possible by the modules two dry contact inputs, these inputs could be connected to a door or window. If a door or window is left open for an extended period, the dry contact can automatically trigger the integrated HDL solutions.
